12:30 Long Distance Cycling with Rob Quirk and Sébastien Klein
Rob Quirk of quirk cycles in Conversation with Sébastien Klein of Brevet Cycles on long distance cycling and the bicycles made for it. Rob Quirk is a frame builder and ultra-cyclist based in London, designing building and riding bikes for some of the world’s most gruelling un-supported off-road races. Sebastian Klein is a frame builder based in France who builds elegantly understated randonneur bikes for long distance road cycling. Joining them in conversation is ultra-cyclist and Bespoked enthusiast John Woodroof of two-tone Amsterdam who works behind the scenes to promote some of the most well-known brands in the cycling industry. John has a wealth of experience riding across a number of disciplines and an enviable stable of hand-made bikes from some of the most interesting builders around the world.
14:00 In conversation with the legend that is Ted James
Ted James, aka Superted has been for some time known for his BMX, trick fixie and mountain bike builds. Ted is less known for his super considered, process led design, and technical mastery of manual machining. Over the years Ted has employed a number of methods of building in steel and titanium, to frames designed for almost every discipline cycling has to offer. Most recently he’s teamed up with some of the most well-known riders in the BMX world on designing full suspension bicycle motocross bikes, but today he’ll be speaking about his latest personal mountain bike and the design development that has lead him to it, form one of his earliest and most renowned bikes, the 29gnar.

With more people riding gravel and adventure bikes, as well as people using bikes as their primary mode of transport, the demands on bike specific bagmakers have never been greater. We have a panel of leading bike bag makers discussing the craft and the increasing shift towards utility and durability of bags designed around the way people ride, the integration of bags into bicycle design and everything in between.

Come and enjoy a locally brewed beer, some tasty tacos and carry on the bike chat after the show, upstairs in the Tap Room at the Cold Bath Brewery.
